Due to Davis' late birthdate his NHL draft eligability is pushed back one full year where he will be joined by Matt Lashoff in what should be a banner year for the Kitchener Rangers at the NHL draft table. During the time that he has played with the Rangers thus far, Davis has proven that he does belong and despite injuries suffered doesn't appear hesitant to go into the corners or shy away from mid-ice collisions. The Detroit, Michigan product sees the ice very effectively, and seems to have a knack for illuding others quickly. Eventhough he is a 1st year player, and even with the Rangers' depth up front, Davis when healthy played wing on both the powerplay and the penalty kill units. His deceptiveness along with his reach make him a very formitable adversary. The key for Davis is staying healthy looking
forward, he has missed considerable time during his rookie season, and
the entire pre-season schedule prior to the season. When on the ice
Davis is already capable of being an unmistakable pressence. Fortunately
he'll have time to grow with the Rangers strong crop of 17 year old's including:
Boris Valabik, Matt Lashoff, Evan McGrath, Craig Voakes, and netminder:
Carlo DiRienzo.
