Kevin's impact wasn't immediate, but NHL scouts see a tremendous amount of promise in the up and coming power winger even with his modest offensive totals. At this point he is rated as a mid to late round NHL prospect, his stock could go up significantly with a successful playoff run. Henderson is strong on the puck, but is still adjusting to the intense level and speed of OHL play. The to work on list would include his speed in changing direction (though he is a good skater) and his offensive abilities which should improve over time. Henderson does bring a very solid work ethic to the table, he really wants the puck and is willing to go into the corners and play a rugged style in order to get to it. After debuting with the Rangers' primarily on the fourth line, Henderson has worked his way up through some of the lines being given opportunity with some injuries that the Rangers have incured along the way. His play has improved with his icetime. Surprisingly Henderson has also found himself on the Rangers' penalty kill many times in the second half of the season. It's something that many fans can expect to see out of Kevin looking forward. He definately has the potential to be a 20-goal scorer in the OHL in the future. Kevin Henderson was also a teammate of Myles Applebaum with the Wexford Raiders.
