| Round II |
| Who was the last player selected first overall in an OHL entry draft to have played for the Kitchener Rangers? |
| Answer: |
| John
Uniac
John Uniac was
drafted 1st overall in the 1987 OHL midget entry draft by the Sudbury Wolves.
Early in the 1988-'89 season he was involved in a trade where the Rangers
aquired: him along with Pierre Gagnon in exchange for then captian: Kevin
Grant and promising rookie: Sean Stansfield. Uniac was primarily
an offensive defenseman who was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens during
the 11th round of the 1990 NHL entry draft. During Uniac's last OHL
season he tallied 71 points with the Rangers.
